Special Help for International Students
 ICUT recognises the presence of over 250,000 overseas students in British colleges and universities from all parts of the European Union, Commonwealth and wider world. We understand that the great majority of these students are self funded, and often parents and other family members have gone to great sacrifices in order to meet what are rather costly teaching and maintenance fees.
While we appreciate that British universities may claim to offer overseas students a fair deal, the hard reality is that many do not. Such problems as learning exam techniques, study methods, research methods, access to literature and even English fluency are neglected by many institutions, with the result that foreign students struggle through courses and are disproportionately represented in the categories of students forced to re-sit coursework and Summer examinations. ICUT regrets this fact, and does not make extensive promises about our ability to change matters. At the same time, we are not going to cash in on the misfortunes of overseas students, but instead try to help.
We offer a number of services in English Language proficiency, study methods, exam preparations, coursework preparation, interpretation of the course material. Teaching is provided by carefully selected tutors with both skills and experience in dealing with foreign students, as well as an innate sympathy with their circumstances. Rates are competitive and the service is confidential. Also, our service is provided during term time and at vacations, including Summer.
